How do I use SafeShare from Photos?

Open a photo in Photos, tap Share, and choose SafeShare. If it is not visible, scroll to the end of the action row, tap Edit Actions, and add SafeShare to your favorites.

Does SafeShare upload my photos?

No. Scanning and redaction run on your device. SafeShare has no account, photo-upload service, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.

Can SafeShare miss private information?

Yes. Small, blurry, stylized, obscured, or unusual text can be missed. Always review the complete photo before sharing. You can zoom in, tap suggested regions, show additional text candidates, or add a custom tilted area manually.

Will my original photo change?

No. SafeShare exports a new flattened copy. Your original remains unchanged.

What should I include in a support email?

Tell us what you expected, what happened, your iPhone or iPad model, and your iOS version. Please do not attach a photo containing private information unless you have safely redacted it first.
