PRIVACY POLICY
Your photos stay on your device.
Effective August 29, 2026
SafeShare is provided by Nanjing Yumai Technology Co., Ltd. (“Cuenovo,” “we,” or “us”). This policy explains how the SafeShare iOS app and Photos Action Extension handle information.
What SafeShare processes
When you choose a photo, SafeShare processes that image on your device to look for areas that may contain faces, contact details, addresses, identifiers, codes, and other information worth checking before sharing. It also checks whether the image contains location metadata.
No collection or upload
SafeShare does not transmit your photos, detected text, redaction regions, image metadata, or usage activity to us. The app has no account system, backend photo processing, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. We do not collect personal data from the app.
On-device storage and retention
Your current image and scan results are held only as needed to complete the review and export on your device. SafeShare does not maintain a cloud history. App preferences—such as enabled detection categories and redaction styles—and the current free-export allowance are stored locally in the app’s shared iOS container so the app and its Photos extension can use the same settings.
Purchases and entitlement checks
SafeShare uses Apple’s StoreKit to display localized purchase options, complete purchases, restore purchases, and verify whether your Apple Account has an active SafeShare entitlement. Apple processes the transaction and payment information under Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment-card details, and StoreKit never sends your photos, detected text, or redaction results to us.
Photos access and exported copies
SafeShare reads only the photos you explicitly provide through the iOS photo picker or share sheet. If you choose “Save to Photos,” iOS asks for add-only Photos permission so SafeShare can save the sanitized copy. SafeShare never modifies the original. Location metadata is removed by default unless you turn that option off.
Feedback email
If you tap “Send Feedback,” SafeShare asks iOS to open your mail app with a draft addressed to us. The draft may include the SafeShare version, iOS version, and general device type to help troubleshoot. It does not attach your photo, detected text, or scan result. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send the email. Your email provider’s policies apply to the message.
Children’s privacy
SafeShare is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
You can disable individual detection categories, change redaction defaults, choose whether to remove location metadata, restore purchases, manage a subscription through your Apple Account, or delete the app and its local preferences through iOS. Because we do not receive app data, we do not have a server-side account or app-data record to access or delete.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when SafeShare’s features or legal obligations change. The effective date above will be updated when we do.
